Eddy Current Separator

Eddy Current Separator

Eddy Current Separator efficient non-ferrous metals separation
eddy current separators are used to separate non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, brass, etc.) from bulk material. Eddy currents are generated by induction in metals. The extremely strong pulsating magnetic field and the high rotational speed guarantee superior separation results even for fines and inseparable particles.

Advantages

excellent separation results
deep, strong pulsating magnetic field
centric (for high feed rates) or excentric system (for fines) available
design of magnetic rotor optimized to the application
high reliability
emptying of conveying belt ensured by generating power with the magnetic rotor
low maintenance
optimal combinations with other devices

Centric systems are best suitable for high feed rates, as the material is exposed to the magnetic field for a long period of time. Using various rotors with different pole numbers allows for high specific feed rate at particle sizes of > 15 mm.

Excentric systems are tuned for fine particle separation. The throw-out point can be adjusted individually. A big rotor diameter causes a deep magnetic field and allows for material < 15 mm.

The automatic lubrication system for the bearings of the magnetic rotor allows for carefree operation of the eddy current separator. Tank, pump, piping and controls are installed directly on the separator. The system reduces operational cost and maintenance by automatical applied lubrication (in fixed intervals).

This special design allows for separation of finest non-ferrous metals. The excellent results arise from a multipole magnetic system developed for this specific application. The pole-changing frequency of 1.5 kHz at 2500 rpm reduces wear on the bearing by minimizing the rotational speed. Generating packages with vibrating conveyors for optimized feed, separation of iron and steel or screens provide for the perfect separation System.
